Ikhaya Blog - Fair Trade Christmas Market

Keen to escape the Christmas shopping hullaballoo for some retail peace and love on earth?

Check out the Fair Trade Christmas Market on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th December for the ultimate feel-good shopping experience. Local not-for-profit organisation, the Qld Fair Trade Collective (www.fta.org.au), is hosting two days of ethical shopping at the Marymac Community Centre. Complete with world food and music in addition to charity stalls, this is the perfect way to put a little meaning back into your December shopping.

Choose from a huge range of handcrafted gifts, homewares, jewellery and accessories plus fairtrade tea, coffee, chocolate and gift hampers. Bring the children to enjoy face-painting and craft activities while you find out how your shopping dollars can make a real difference to artisans and farmers in developing countries.

Marymac Community Centre, 616 Ipswich Rd, Annerley. Saturday 6th & Sunday 7th December 2008. 10am-4pm. Free entry. Food and drinks will be available for purchase on site.

Sat 6/12 @ 10 - 4
Sun 7/12 @ 10 - 4

It would be lovely to see some familiar faces at this market, so please do come along! The whole market is under cover so don't worry about the heat or the rain we will be totally protected from the elements!

For those of you who normally visit me at Mitchelton, I will not be there this Sunday as I will be attending this market. if you are unable to see me there, you are still able to purchase online - if buying online is not your thing, just call me & we can arrange over the phone!
