About our products
All of the products for sale on this website have been hand crafted in Africa. It is important to remember that no hi-tech machinery has been used nor have they been produced in a huge factory. Each item is unique & no two are identical, this also means that the product may vary slightly from the photo in colour, design & size. However, Ikhaya has made every effort to ensure that the photos correctly represent the product for sale.
Newsletter
If you elect to receive our newsletter your email address will be added to our mailing list. You will not be put on the mailing lists of any third parties and neither your email address nor your name will be disclosed to anyone else. You will receive communication via the newsletter no more than once a month.
Cookies
Ikhaya uses cookies to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket. Most browsers are automatically set to accept cookies but usually you can alter the settings of your browser to prevent acceptance. If you choose not to receive cookies, you will not be able to purchase any items but will still be able to browse the website’s other features.
Placing an order
You can purchase online 24 hours a day. Credit card payments are catered for using PayPal. If you do not wish to use a credit card to purchase from us, you can deposit funds electronically into our nominated bank account. After placing your order, you will receive an email confirmation which will list your order number together with your complete order details.
Once we have received your cleared payment, your order will be packed and dispatched as quickly as possible. Orders will not be dispatched until payment in full has been received and Ikhaya is satisfied with the integrity of the order. Our agreement with you only comes into existence once we have both confirmed your order, and your payment has been processed. This means that the law applicable to any transaction you conduct with us is the applicable law of the state of Queensland, Australia.
You will receive a second and final email notifying you when your order has been packed and dispatched. Included in this email will be your parcel consignment number so that you can track your parcel via www.auspost.com.au/eparcel until it is delivered.
Ikhaya is not responsible for any loss or damage caused by late delivery or cancellation of an order. Your parcel will also contain a copy of your receipt and order details so that if you need to return anything you can simply enclose these with your parcel back to us.
Payment Options
Ikhaya accepts 2 payment forms as below:
1. Credit Card (PayPal – no account required)
2. Direct Deposit (electronic funds transfer)
PayPal
PayPal allows the transfer of money between email users. It is a system that lets anyone with an email address securely send and receive online payments using their credit card or bank account.
Please note that you do not need to have an account with PayPal to buy on www.ikhaya.com.au. Credit card details are entered directly into PayPal's systems. None of these details nor any password you use on the PayPal system are transmitted or held in the Ikhaya systems. Any further information will only be held with your explicit consent. Details collected allow us to process your order. Further details about the PayPal payment system can be reached through PayPal's website at www.paypal.com.au. Once you have finished processing the transaction you will be redirected back to the Ikhaya web site. You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been received and once payment has been accepted you will receive a shipping notification.
Direct Deposit
If you would like to deposit money electronically into our bank account then please select this option when you are at the payment stage of shopping with us. Our system automatically lets us know when you have placed your order and that you have requested this form of payment.
For international fund transfers, it is best to use the Paypal option. It is possible to transfer money via your bank account internationally; however there is a fee involved. Information about fees can be obtained from your bank.
